Colorful San Diego :
locationSan Diego
detailsPlaying off of their love for water sports as well as this wedding being located on a lake made choosing colors easy for this one! Nautical blues, reds, and yellow golds were constant throughout. Blue and white striped ribbon tied the white bridesmaids bouquets, while the bride sported true red with her multicolor one. The groom and groomsmen in sharp blue suits and red ties..all came together for a gorgeous wedding party! Rain moved the ceremony indoors at the last hour, but all of the plans for candle lanterns, rope and glass balls made their way into the "plan B" room as we proceeded with a candlelight ceremony. The reception was a glass walled room over looking the lake and the tables dressed with the same nautical decor. The cake table was the shining star of the show..a multi-tiered display of blue, white and gold cake balls with an anchor motif. The cake topper was an ode to the couple's favorite water sport, wakeboarding.
momentsThe bride's dance with her father, who was also the officiant at this wedding...he had not been well all day and when it was time for the dance he rose to the occasion, literally. The bride and her father had a beautiful relationship that was SO evident during that dance!
thoughtsEven as the weather forecast began to threaten rain, this was THE absolute most go with the flow bride you could ask for. Her attitude was stellar and that rubbed off on everyone around her. She was dedicated to everyone around her having fun, and as she said "I just want to marry Kevin!"
